Elaboration of bacteriotoxin based bioinsecticid, selection of bacteria strains for industrial application

The effective insect control is hardly possible in the environmentally sound production systems because of the lack of appropriate biocontrol products. The main goals of this present project intention is to provide research background for developing bacteriotoxin based product, which could be applied against serious insect pests of the regional fruit production. The main steps of the project are: screening of the available entomopathogenic bacteria collection for the effective toxin-producing strains; identification of the bacteriotoxins and studying the effects of conditions of industrial-scale mass production systems on the toxin production of the bacteria; and protect the invention as a patent.
