The Nemaform Ltd. was founded by three colleagues of the Research and Extension Centre for Fruitgrowing in Újfehértó, Hungary. The goal of the establishment of the company was to proceed the results of the biocontrol experimental projects of the Research Centre.
The Nemaform Ltd. works on three main research projects actually: elaboration of a formulation method for biocontrol products containing entomopathogenic nematodes; developing quality control procedures for in vitro mass production of entomopathogenic nematodes, and elaboration of a bacteriotoxin based bioinsecticid, selection of bacteria strains for industrial application.
The laboratory background of Nemaform Ltd. is provided by the Research and Extension Centre for Fruitgrowing. In addition to a molecular biological and a microbiological labs there is an unique possibilities to use a pilot-scale fermentation plant. The cryopreservation equipments are essential for maintaining the EPN/EPB strain collection.
The own research projects of Nemaform Ltd. are supported by different public research funds.
